OK so I still find it difficult to get my behind out and into the Gym. It is not the working out I have a problem with … once I’m there I love it. It is the action of getting my mind to accept that it would be a really good idea to go outside, stand in the garage and workout.
I know, it an easy fix but I wouldn’t be the size I am if I could have said … you don’t need that bag of sweets on the way home. It is a question of will power, and it is will power that stops the cubby people sliming and keeps the thin people thin. As an over weight individual I find it very annoying when a friend can just stop eating and say that’s enough, or refuse to eat dessert. My brain is screaming at me clean the plate and make space for chocolate cake (yum!).
Still part of the process is to change the way you think, it is starting to happen. Only yesterday I told somebody I was going to the gym!! The little voice that controls the healthy things I do is getting stronger, and I’m noticing that in the food I consume.

OK… I have now gone to the gym twice in a single week, which is a new record for this year
Right now I sit here just after finishing a work out and relaxing with feeling of a job well done. If you would like me to post up my workout plan that I’ll create an extra page.
As for food I’m still struggling to drop the sugar demons but they are not roaring like before. I know that within a few weeks they will just complain every couple of days about why I’ve stopped eating toffee crisps.
Respect to all of you joining the cause and remember there are lots of people that just need a little nudge to get going…

Hi Everybody!! (See Dr. Nick)
Well I went to the gym (which I installed in the garage last year) and now feel broken in many ways. However it was excellent to see the old heart running at 150+ on the HRM.
The wife pushed me with a little guilt trip, i.e. that new exercise bike has been out there for four weeks tubby!! So I used it today and it punished me for my relaxed attitude to fitness. I did get a major sweat going, but nothing like the years of the past when I used to workout a great deal.
Day off tomorrow followed by a session on Monday night – I believe that 3 to 4 times a week will be fine.
[EDIT] I have also installed an application on the iPhone called Weightbot. It’s truly a class piece of iPhone software and I love the way you scroll the weight number about to see what needs doing + turn the phone through 90 degress and you have a graph!! Cool.
